Hobgoblin

Hobgoblins were a species of Orc which were related to Goblins in Middle-Earth.

Hobgoblins were stronger, larger, and more menacing then the other Orcs. The Hobgoblins were only mentioned once by Gandalf in The Hobbit.

J.R.R. Tolkien later wrote in a letter that through a further study of folklore he learned that the Hobgoblins were the opposite of larger Goblins then the original truth.
